Welcome! Bienvenido! Bienvenue!

Welcome! Welcome friends! Welcome, and thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to click whatever it is you chose to click that brought you to this page, the very first post on Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast’s new blog. Whether you’re new to our conservation community or you’ve been advancing our mission for years, we’re excited to have you here with us now.

And I mean that both literally and figuratively.

We’re excited to have you here now literally, as in on this page reading this introductory blog post, because it means you care enough about the environment and future to invest your time in learning more. It means you feel some sort of connection to conservation, and that’s exciting!

We’re also excited to figuratively have you here. In this sense, I mean here, in this place and time, on the same team and championing the same causes. You like spending time in nature? So do we! You want to ensure clean water for the health of our communities, wildlife, and planet? So do we! What’s that? You want future generations to enjoy the same benefits and experiences in nature you yourself enjoy in the great outdoors? And you want all people to have equitable access to those same benefits and experiences? You’re never going to believe this: so do we! We want all those things and then some!

Every day Conservation Foundation is working toward a future in which the human and natural worlds flourish together. We execute our mission – to protect the land and water in Southwest Florida for the benefit of people and nature – with the support of our conservation community. People like you. People who care about the health of our water and land and who want to do their part to safeguard our future.

This blog will help us stay connected. It’s where we’ll share stories of impact and the land we save – the land you save. You’ll get to know our conservation community and learn how to get involved. We’ll highlight those who fuel our mission and share helpful ways you can to care for the land along with tips on how to connect more with nature every day. There will even be guest bloggers sharing their own unique insights and reflections!

There’s a lot on the horizon and you’ll hear from many different voices along the way. We hope you add your voice to our conservation community too.

So, stay tuned and thank you again! We’re excited to have you here.
