Sarah Rubin

Youth Education Manager

From the time I was a young girl, I have found it to be my passion and destiny to help others connect with nature, the ocean, and the land. In my role, I get to do just that, at an organization that allows for all to come together to protect and conserve these things for the greater good of our community, our state, and our planet.

Sarah joined Big Waters in September 2024. In her role as the Youth Education Manager, she provides incredible nature based experiences for the diverse youth of Southwest Florida. An environmental educator for over 21 years, Sarah has worked to share the wonders of our natural world at zoos, aquariums, and parks across the country. She is a Certified interpretive Guide through the National Association of Interpretation, a Project Wild facilitator, an open water SSI diver, and a twice-published scientific author. In her free time, Sarah enjoys working in and with French and Italian Fashion and spending as much time she can with her two senior dogs, Mika and Sally.
