Mario joined the Board in 2017 and served as Vice-Chair for two years. He was with IBM for nearly 30 years and held various executive positions prior to his retirement.

As part of my job I traveled extensively in Asia, Latin America, and Europe and saw firsthand the environmental challenges the world is facing, which motivated me to at least do my part locally by supporting the efforts of Big Waters. I think our global environment is at a tipping point. We need to find the right balance between economic growth and preserving our environment. Organizations like Big Waters play a critical role in protecting our natural resources so the next generations can live and thrive.
