Blackburn Point Park Addition
The Story
Why it Matters
Whereas most towns in our region have a public beach, the town of Osprey does not due to private ownership of Casey Key. Blackburn Point Park was created in order to provide a critically needed, and much loved water access park for the community. Located on Little Sarasota Bay and Dryman Bay along the Intracoastal Waterway, it also provides easy boat access to the Gulf of Mexico through the Venice Inlet. A boat ramp, picnic areas, restrooms, docks, fishing pier, and other amenities make this a great place to enjoy the water in the Osprey area.
