Join us for a naturalist-guided walk at the T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve as we look for Florida’s spring wildflowers! We will explore the preserve at a leisurely pace, stopping to observe and identify wildflowers as we walk. Participants will learn about the pressures facing native plants and wildlife, and how land managers and conservationists are working to protect natural areas like the Carlton Reserve in southwest Florida.
This program is suitable for all ages. Participants under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian.
Participants should bring a water bottle and wear clothing appropriate for the weather. We recommend sun protection, bug spray, and closed-toe shoes, no flip-flops. Restrooms and water fountains are available.
This program is provided in partnership with the Sarasota County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Department.
Your gift of $5 or more per person will help the Big Waters Land Trust save wild places and continue to engage people in nature. We greatly appreciate your support!
