Big Waters Land Trust is partnering with the Boys & Girls Club in Arcadia to create a beautiful, low-maintenance pollinator garden on their grounds.
We’re currently seeking volunteers to assist with digging, planting, and assembling a garden archway. Whether you’re a Master Gardener, a native plant enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys the outdoors, your expertise would be incredibly valuable as we create this special space for local youth.
Your involvement will help us create a thriving habitat that supports local wildlife, provides hands-on learning opportunities for the Boys & Girls Club members, and demonstrates the importance of land stewardship and biodiversity right in Arcadia.
Our rain date, if necessary, will be Thursday, August 7th from 7:30 am -1:00 pm.
This program is suitable for participants ages 15 and over. All participants must sign a volunteer waiver.
Volunteers should bring/wear:
Gardening gloves (optional, we have plenty to share)
A reusable water bottle
Closed-toe shoes
Long-sleeved shirt and pants that are comfortable for working outdoors
Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray
Emergency medications (if necessary, EpiPen, inhaler)
