Carol Carter

Joining the BWLT Board enables me to come full circle with my commitment to the land -- from growing up on a Maryland dairy farm where being “good stewards of the land” was our family credo for six generations.

Carol spent nearly forty years as an advancement officer at colleges and major universities – including Carnegie Mellon and Duquesne University — culminating at the University of Pittsburgh where she was Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement responsible for fundraising, communications and alumni relations. Her “retirement” career was as a ten-year elected Commissioner and Chair, City of Anna Maria, Florida. Now, Carol is using her agricultural background and UF Master Gardener certification to tend a garden and steward a small farm complete with two miniature donkeys.
